Somerset Heights is a True Homes community in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, in Forsyth County. It offers both townhomes and single-family homes under one community name.

Two Products, One Community

The townhomes are now selling from the mid $300,000s. The single-family homes are coming soon, with pricing not yet published.

This matters practically: if you want a single-family home here, you are on the interest list rather than the purchase path today, and first-phase pricing has not been set. If you want a townhome, you can buy now. Ask the sales office which homesites are allocated to which product before you fall for a specific lot — on a mixed community that allocation is not always obvious from the site plan.

The School Assignment

Somerset Heights feeds Ward Elementary, Clemmons Middle and West Forsyth High — the Clemmons-side feeder pattern rather than a Winston-Salem city one, despite the Winston-Salem address. For a lot of buyers in this market that specific chain is the reason to look here at all.

Note the distances, though: West Forsyth High is roughly 7.7 miles from the community. That is a real commute for a teenager, and worth building into your thinking rather than discovering in August.

Location

The community sits on the southwest side of Winston-Salem with straightforward access to Clemmons, Hanes Mall and I-40, putting both downtown Winston-Salem and the Clemmons commercial corridor within a short drive.
