Many neighborhoods are convenient to I-74, I-40, and I-73, making it easy to travel from the city to other central North Carolina cities and towns like Greensboro, Kernersville, Winston-Salem, and RTP. The Piedmont Triad International Airport is just on the outskirts of town, a 20-minute or less drive from most neighborhoods.
High Point is home to High Point University which has been ranked as the #1 Best Regional College in the South for seven consecutive years by US News & World Report. Guilford Technical Community College also has a campus in downtown High Point as well as nearby Jamestown.
Younger students in High Point attend Guilford County Public Schools, many of which have excellent test scores, low student-to-teacher ratios, and active PTAs.
The High Point Rockers were established in 2018 and play at Truist Point and are members of the South Division of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball which is an independent partner of MLB.
